If you haven't heard, Awaken Coffee is now being served at Todd and West End Dining Halls on ECU's main campus. But that's just the start of our relationship with ECU!
Awaken is currently preparing to take over coffee shop space in ECU's Health Sciences Student Center. Keep scrolling for ways to help make this amazing opportunity a reality!

Our Equipment Needs
Opening another store means we need to purchase another espresso machine, a brewer, a grinder and refrigeration. Fortunately, we have learned a lot from HQ (our current location) so we are able to fine tune the needs for this second location.
Our Supply Needs
A second store in a busy student center means we have to be prepared to serve all those students and faculty! So we plan to stock up well on the Awaken coffee blends, smoothies, refreshers, pastries, bagels and more that our customers love.
Our Funding Needs
Payroll is the largest expense for our nonprofit. While our coffee shop could run with just a few people, we employ much more than the average shop: multiple Brew Crew members and shift managers who ensure our employees and volunteers have the support they need.
Amazing Opportunities
The ECU Health Sciences Student Center location will provide our Brew Crew members a place to further refine their cashier, cleaning and barista skills.
Moving employees to that space will open up space to train more differently abled people in the community through coffee and other potential opportunities in our original location.
